Samsung NC215S with solar panel features

Samsung announced their new and latest model netbook with solar panel fixed behined the display.Samsung NC215S is one and only netbook containing solar charging.Latest model of sasung netbook will equipped with a 6-cell battery which last for around 14 hours, the solar panel on lid provides extra 2 hours of battery juice.

The NC215S is based on Intel Atom N570 or N455 processor and provide 10-inch widescreen LCD display (1024x600 pixels), 1GB of RAM, integrated Intel graphics, USB ports with Sleep-and-charge function, webcam, SD card slot, Ethernet, WiFi, and Bluetooth.


If only there were a way to utilize the sun's rays for good, in place of evil, like supply with power your PC while you're off doing whatever it is that normal people do when it's sunny.

Samsung Mini NC215S – With Solar Panel charging

The Korean company has developed a mini laptop that is charging using solar energy. Samsung NC215S has a solar panel on the cover and is scheduled to appear on the market in August this year.
Samsung wants to develop a clean technology to use it on portables and thus they will not depend on electricity. The new Samsung NC215S netbook is the first mini laptop that will enjoy a solar panel that covers the cap and will fully recharge in about 2 hours using only energy from the Sun. It is a niche that will begin to be exploited in the near future.

The laptop is equipped with a 6-cell battery powered by PowerPlus technology, together providing a range of about 14 hours on a single refill. This model was originally designed for markets in Africa and places where there isn’t that much electricity. I think it would be appropriate for the rest of the world, because to us there are many areas that are not connected to the grid.
