Motorola XT531 Android 2.3 Smartphone Announced

Motorola has introduced its fresh  version of budget-friendly Android 2.3 Gingerbread Smartphone called the Motorola XT531. The new budget-friendly smartphone arrives accompanied by a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 480×320 pixel resolution and powered by an 800MHz Processor. The XT531 measures 114 x 62 x 11.95 mm and weighs in at 114 grams, it arrives with 512MB of memory and dual-cameras which comprise of a 5-megapixel camera on the back end of the device accompanied by autofocus and flash plus there is a front-facing camera the one that make possible of video calling.

Other specifications of the Motorola XT531 embrace  of WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, it also arrives with a few sensors which containa proximity sensor, circumfused  light sensor, accelerometer and an e-compass. The HTC Thunderbolt was released back in March of this year and was Verizon’s first 4G LTE phone. The blazing 4G LTE speed come at a price, $249.99 with 2 year contract or whopping $569.99 if you bought it outright. Now that you have dropped a good chunk of change on a phone that will be almost like an appendage for the foreseeable future, it needs some protection. HTC Windows Phone 7 12 Megapixel Smartphone Leaked

Windows first smartphone with 12 megapixel by HTC, What appears to be a 12-megapixel HTC smartphone running Windows Phone has been caught in the wild, lending weight to rumors that the company is looking to high-resolution cameras to further differentiate its future handsets. Shared by arch-insider Eldar Murtazin, the unknown phone – which resembles an HTC Trophy – is shown set to take 12MP 4000 x 3000 images in the camera app.

Nokia already released 12 megapixel in the market called Nokia N8.

It also cranks up the pressure on Nokia, which had planned to use its high-quality optics as a differentiating factor between it and other Windows Phone OEMs. There’s more to picture quality than a high-megapixel sensor, of course, but with many consumers buying based more on spec sheets than anything else, HTC’s grab at high resolutions could well help keep it ahead of the pack.

The ASUS Padfone: A Smartphone That Docks into a Tablet

A number of you have asked for this innovation over the past few months: a smartphone that docks into a tablet. Given that the two platforms generally share the same hardware, it seems to make sense. ASUS has heard your calls and today announced its Padfone, and no, I'm not joking about the name.

Building off of the expertise with the Eee Pad Transformer, the Padfone is a smartphone that's dockable into a tablet. The intelligence is entirely inside the ph...er fone part, the pad is strictly a display and extended capacity battery.

 

ASUS didn't announce anything on availability, internal specs or even what OS it would run. In one shot ASUS had a Windows interface and in another shot it had a Honeycomb interface. Clearly this is a work in progress but it's an interesting concept. Update: ASUS tells us that the Padfone will run Android and that the Windows interface was simply a mistake in the demo video.
